A UK regulated credential, earned where you are
Gatehouse approves centres outside the UK as well as within it, so the qualification can be taken without relocating.
A 120-credit postgraduate-level qualification awarded by Gatehouse Awards, regulated by Ofqual. Six units take you through marketing, people, money, governance, sustainability and research. Everything is judged on a portfolio you build from real work, so there is no exam to sit.
Note: Duration will be based on your experience and it can be advanced bachelors too which differs from prospects to prospects
Gatehouse Awards built this qualification for people who already run something and now want the thinking that goes with the job title. In its own words it is designed to give you the knowledge and skills for successful leadership in strategic management positions, and to cover both the theory and the practical competence needed to lead organisations in complex, fast-moving settings.
Six mandatory units sit at Level 7, each carrying 20 credits. They span strategic marketing, people management, financial decision making, governance and the global business environment, sustainable strategic management, and advanced business research methods. You complete all six to reach 120 credits; there is nothing optional and no alternative route through.
Two points are worth knowing before you enquire. Gatehouse is an awarding organisation rather than a college, so teaching comes from an approved centre, and this particular diploma is delivered exclusively with one partner centre, Global Silver Light. The qualification went live on 2 February 2026 and is scheduled for review in February 2031.
Every Gatehouse qualification carries a QAN. This one is 610/6989/9, listed on Ofqual's register of regulated qualifications, so you can verify it yourself before paying anyone.
The whole diploma is assessed through a Portfolio of Evidence. You gather and present proof of your own capability rather than revising for a timed paper.
Marketing, people, finance, governance, sustainability and research methods each get a full 20-credit unit. None of them is squeezed into a single week of a broader module.
Sustainable Strategic Management is mandatory here, which is still uncommon at this level. It is examined with the same weight as finance or marketing.
Applicants who lack the formal qualification can be assessed on senior experience instead, typically three years or more in strategic or management roles.
Gatehouse states that the diploma supports progression to senior leadership roles and onto full master's degree level study.

Because assessment is a portfolio, the evidence comes from your current role rather than from a syllabus set apart from it.
Managers in the Gulf routinely work across jurisdictions and ownership structures, and that sits in Unit 4 rather than in a footnote.
Gulf national visions put diversification and sustainability at the centre, and this diploma makes sustainable strategy a mandatory 20 credits.
Gatehouse publishes 1,200 hours of total qualification time rather than a fixed term, so pace is negotiated with your centre around your job.
The £334.75 figure is the awarding body's registration fee excluding VAT. International arrangements and pricing vary, so get your centre's course fee in writing.

No, and that difference matters. Gatehouse is an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation, which means it writes and regulates the qualification and issues the certificate. It does not teach. The actual tuition is delivered by an approved centre. This diploma is covered by a Gatehouse exclusivity agreement with one such centre, Global Silver Light, so it is not something any provider can offer.
No. It sits at the same level on the Regulated Qualifications Framework as master's study, and Gatehouse says it supports progression onto full master's degree level study, but it is a 120-credit diploma rather than a degree. If your goal is the degree itself, treat this as a step towards it and confirm with the receiving university how much credit they will recognise.
Gatehouse publishes £334.75 excluding VAT, and that is a registration fee a centre pays the awarding body for the qualification. It is not a tuition price. Your course fee is set by the centre delivering the teaching, and Gatehouse notes that arrangements and pricing vary for centres operating outside the UK. Ask for a written quote covering tuition, registration and certification before committing.
Gatehouse does not publish a duration in months or years. It publishes 240 guided learning hours and 1,200 hours of total qualification time, with the balance being independent study. How that spreads out depends on the centre and on how much time you can give it, so ask for an indicative timetable rather than assuming a standard academic year.
Possibly. Gatehouse asks for an honours degree, or an award at Level 6, yet applicants holding neither can still be considered individually on senior professional experience — typically three years or more spent in strategic or management roles. The centre has to assess that properly, which usually means a CV or portfolio, an interview, proof of continuing development, references, and a brief diagnostic exercise.
Because Gatehouse has not published any for this qualification. There is no destinations list, no salary data and no employer survey on its official pages. We would rather say so than list plausible-sounding roles that no awarding body has stood behind. The progression statements in the careers section above are Gatehouse's own words, and your centre may be able to tell you more about its past learners.
