Programme Overview

About this Programme

Here is a small thing that says a lot. Across much of Qualifi's catalogue, the published learning outcomes repeat the same general management sentences with one noun swapped. Not on this page. Nine outcomes appear, every one of them written about marketing: formulating value propositions in provider and customer relationships, assessing market-sourced data for strategic decisions, evaluating creative approaches to product and service design.

Six subjects sit underneath. Contemporary Issues and Principles of Marketing, then Consumer Behaviour and Market Communications, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Contemporary Challenges and Strategic Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, and finally a Marketing Research Project. Qualifi describes the teaching as an integrated approach, pairing theory in marketing, branding, consumer behaviour and digital communication with practice through what it calls real-time activities.

The entry bar is set higher than anywhere else in the range: applicants must be at least twenty-one, with a Level 6 qualification or a first degree expected alongside. That reads as a deliberate signal about who the award is for — people with enough working history to have opinions worth challenging. Credit value is 120 at Level 7; the framework records it as 610/2615/3.

Why Choose

Why Choose This Programme?

01

Outcomes written for this award

Nine published outcomes, all specific to marketing rather than recycled general management statements.

02

Digital and social treated properly

Digital and Social Media Marketing is a full subject, not a chapter bolted onto a communications module.

03

Brand as a strategic asset

Strategic Brand Management addresses what a brand is worth and how decisions either build or erode it.

04

It ends in your own research

The Marketing Research Project means independent applied work rather than a final written exam.

05

Why customers behave as they do

Consumer Behaviour and Market Communications underpins everything else on the list.

06

Pitched at experienced applicants

A minimum age of twenty-one plus a degree-level expectation signals a room of people with real campaigns behind them.

An internationally recognised pathway awarded by Qualifi.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "advanced standing" mean here?

Qualifi writes that the qualification lets learners work toward a relevant master's programme with advanced standing. In plain terms, advanced standing means a university accepting prior study in place of part of its own programme. The thing to understand is who grants it: the university does, not the awarding body. Qualifi names no partner institution, publishes no credit transfer arrangement and states no terms. So treat that phrase as a possibility to investigate with a specific university, in writing, rather than as something this diploma delivers.

Why is the minimum age twenty-one?

Qualifi does not explain the reasoning, it simply publishes the requirement. What we can say is that twenty-one is the highest minimum age anywhere in its range — other qualifications in this listing use sixteen, eighteen, nineteen or twenty. Combined with the expectation of a Level 6 qualification or first degree, it points to a programme designed around people who have already run campaigns and can argue about them from experience.

Is this a CIM qualification?

It is not. Qualifi publishes no relationship with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, no exemption from CIM assessments and no route to chartered marketer status. This is an Ofqual-regulated diploma awarded by Qualifi, which is a different thing from a professional body qualification, and neither replaces the other. If CIM membership or chartered status is your goal, go to the CIM and ask what it requires.

How much of it is digital?

One of the six subjects is devoted to digital and social media marketing, and Qualifi's description of the award names digital communication management among the theory areas it covers. Beyond that the published material does not break down how much digital content appears inside the other subjects, and it names no platforms, tools or certifications. If you need specific technical skills — analytics platforms, advertising tools, marketing automation — ask the centre what the teaching actually includes.

What is the research project like?

Qualifi lists a Marketing Research Project as the final subject but publishes no detail about its length, format, supervision or whether it must relate to your own employer. Several of the nine learning outcomes point towards it, particularly those on developing research and analytical capability and on assessing market-sourced data critically. The practical specifics live in the centre specification, so ask to see what is expected before you reach the final stage.

Duration and fees?

Neither appears on the official page. Qualifi accredits and certificates this qualification but delivers no teaching itself, so the schedule and the price are whatever your approved centre sets. There is no published total qualification time for this award, which means no official hours figure exists to help you judge whether a proposed timetable is realistic alongside a job. Get the intake dates, the expected duration and a complete written price before enrolling.
