Governance expectations are tightening
Regulators across the GCC have raised the bar on board-level accountability, which is one of the six subjects here.
The one Qualifi page that names actual models rather than talking around them: value at risk, conditional value at risk, entropic value at risk. Six subjects, from governance down to the mathematics, and no degree is asked for.
Note: Duration will be based on your experience and it can be advanced bachelors too which differs from prospects to prospects
Most awarding-body descriptions at this level stay comfortably vague. This one does not. Qualifi's own summary names ISO harmonisation work, corporate social responsibility risk systems, the financing options available when an organisation decides to carry or transfer a risk, and three mathematical models by name: VaR, CVaR and EVaR — value at risk, conditional value at risk and entropic value at risk, to spell out the abbreviations it leaves short.
Six subjects carry that promise. Principles of Risk Management and Strategic Risk Management set the frame. Responsible Leadership and Governance connects risk to the boardroom. Organisational and Environmental Risk pushes outward into conditions a business does not control. Risk Analysis and Modelling is where the mathematics lands. Advanced Research Methods in Risk Management closes it with independent investigation.
Be clear about which kind of risk this is. It is enterprise and financial risk — exposure, governance, capital, modelling. It is not workplace safety risk, which Qualifi covers in separate occupational health and safety awards. One hundred and twenty credits sit behind it at Level 7, under framework number 610/2175/1.
Qualifi's summary names value at risk, conditional value at risk and entropic value at risk — rare specificity from an awarding body.
Unlike most Level 7 awards in the range, this page publishes no requirement for a prior qualification at all.
Responsible Leadership and Governance is a full subject, tying exposure to the decisions made above it.
Organisational and Environmental Risk looks at conditions the organisation does not control.
Qualifi names risk financing options among the content, covering what an organisation carries and what it transfers.
Advanced Research Methods in Risk Management means designing and defending your own enquiry.

No, and the distinction matters before you enrol. This diploma deals with enterprise risk — strategic exposure, governance, financing, modelling, environmental and corporate responsibility factors. Workplace hazards, accident prevention and safety management systems are a different discipline, and Qualifi covers them in its separate occupational health and safety qualifications. If what you need is a safety role, look at those instead.
Not according to this page, no. Qualifi states only that applicants must be at least nineteen, alongside the usual language and reference requirements, and publishes no prior qualification requirement at all. That is genuinely unusual at Level 7, where most of its awards ask for a Level 6 qualification or a first degree. Because the silence is striking, we would suggest confirming it with your approved centre rather than assuming — centres may apply their own admission standards on top of what the awarding body publishes.
They are measures of how much an organisation could lose and how likely that loss is. Value at risk estimates the loss not expected to be exceeded over a set period at a chosen confidence level. Conditional value at risk looks at what happens beyond that threshold, in the tail. Entropic value at risk is a more conservative variant again. Qualifi names all three in its summary without expanding them; the plain-language explanation here is ours, and the depth of treatment is set out in the centre specification.
Nothing on the page suggests it does. Qualifi's first listed outcome refers to understanding the principles and formation of agreements, which is standard contract law phrasing, but no subject in the list touches contract formation and the summary never mentions it. It looks like an outcome that has strayed in from a legal qualification. We have left it out of the learning list above rather than advertise legal content we cannot evidence. If contract law matters to you, ask the centre directly and get the answer in writing.
Qualifi publishes three options and we have not added to them: its own Level 8 Diploma in Strategic Management, a university for a top-up towards a master's, or employment in an associated profession. The middle one needs care. No partner university is named anywhere, no arrangement is described and no conditions are given. This diploma is not a master's degree and does not award one; any university decides for itself whether to admit you and how much of this study counts. Speak to them before you commit.
Both sit with the centre, not the awarding body. Qualifi writes, accredits and certificates this qualification without running any teaching, so the length of the programme and its price are decided wherever you enrol. No total qualification time is published here either, so there is no official hours estimate against which to sanity-check a proposed schedule. Ask for intake dates, an expected completion date and an itemised fee, all in writing.
